Did they make a mistake? Maybe the same manufacturers for those similar looking glue packets also make the toothpaste ones. Apparently toothpaste contains poison that may whiten teeth and prevent cavities.
You'd think after all they do to make products like crayons and stick glue that are non toxic they'd make such labels more noticeable. Parents go to a lot of trouble to buy their kids the best food, and safest toys, but then tell them to rinse their mouth with poison for 3 minutes at the end of the day. Who ever reads the back of their toothpaste label? The back of the label tells you to call poison control if ingested. Everyone ingests a little bit of it on accident, you can't perfectly rinse it out. Kids are probably worse about it since they like that minty fresh candy taste. You're taking in small traces of flouride everyday. The chemical is used to prevent cavities using small amounts, but is also used as a rat poison in high dosage.
Fluoride is also in the water supply. In the 40s the chemical was introduced, is still used by 2/3 of the United States population. The negative effects of the drug are pretty horrid when comparing its only positive effect, fighting cavities. Many people see those opposed to the fluoridation movement as crazy people that want all their kids to have cavities. Well many countries have rejected the option to add fluoride to their water including Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Iceland, Belgium, Austria and France. They actually trust their citizens to brush their teeth with a cheap fluoride based tube instead of having sublethal levels of poisons in the water and food as an alternative.
Critics argue that corporations lobbying for the aggressive pharmaceutical companies that are becoming more and more a part of the american lifestyle are using the water supply to inject their products and make a profit. Enrichment with calcium, vitamin C, and other useful nutrients for good health in general can also be added to water. Why can't we _just_ drink water, and only water. Few people know about the fluoridation process, which is the worst part about it. People should have an educated say, in what goes in their water, if us anti-fluoridation people are against it or not. If the toothpaste label says keep out of reach of children under 6, but the water source contains it, think twice about us 'nut jobs'.

The benefits are obviously less toothdecay and less medical expenses over dental procedures, but there's no significant difference if you just brush your teeth once a day using a fluoride toothpaste.
