Put This Video on Your Myspace or Blog:I just saw a google video on protecting your rights in police encounters. The tape looked professional and educational but every example situation they had had the person as guilty of the crime. They rightfully got arrested and then the video showed what they could have done to avoid arrest.
For example the first scene had kids with marijuana in their bag. The second had a black kid with a spray paint bottle and sketch book with graphitti looking drawings. The last was a under 21 party with beer, alcohol, bongs and weed.
The video was educational, and infinitely more interesting with the kids having drugs, and in very common situations. At the same time it's kind of unnerving having the old bald guy say, in summary:
It's still just as applicable to people who have nothing to hide, but not quite as exciting if they had used that in the video. There's no pressure in letting cops search away in the car and in the bag that has nothing. Unfortunately passing this kind of video in a school would easily be forbidden.
I can't imagine them setting up a similar intensity situation without any illegal substances -something that would be applicable to all people.
I had heard this before in government class but didnt quite remember because, I wouldn't really care if they bother searching anything. Another interesting fact is they can't see your receipt or your bag after buying something in a super market, unless it's something you agree to in membership based shopping stores like costco and sams.
Checkout my Mp3 and files search that uses google to find music/albums, anime, games and movies with direct downloads. It's very safe and easy to use, just search for a song, then right click save as to download it.
