I've always wanted to make a pitch macro. I've tried dragon naturally professional, it's great but it's like 2 gigs and I only use it for its macro functionality. It would be cool if I could setup my own pitch macro using portaudio then I could make a retarded 1mb program to replace the disgustingly massive dragon naturally speaking.
I'm using WinGW along with MSYS but I keep getting errors. I'm not a good C programmer. I don't want to install microsofts directX SDK along with visual C++ and other bulky software that will leave hundreds of useless dlls in my windows system files even after I delete the program. MSYS for using configuration files 'installs' portaudio but not in WinGW. Directing it has to be in a MYSYS subdirectory, and adding WinGW into MSYS/local really doesn't seem like a clean solution. Transferring the files to their correct location doesn't do any good and gcc continues to give me the same errors. Getting started is always the hardest part, but it will be cool once it gets up and running.
